The studios that stood up to help the next chapter of Motion Design.
Companies championing the craft alongside us.
The wider circle of studios and creative companies that move with us.
The society of exceptional creative leaders. RevThink helps the owners of the world's great studios balance artistic ambition with good business — moving creative firms from surviving to thriving.
RevThink exists for a simple, stubborn reason: creative businesses are not like other businesses, and they were never going to thrive on advice built for someone else.
After his tenure at Imaginary Forces — where he helped herd projects as heralded as the Se7en title sequence — founder Tim Thompson started helping friends who were running top studios but struggling to master the business side. Curious why conventional business wisdom kept failing them, he set about inventing a methodology designed specifically for creative firms.
"It worked. And RevThinking was born in 2006."
Two decades on, RevThink has become the industry's leading supporter of creative entrepreneurs — providing strategic guidance across sales, finance, production, marketing and operations, whether a company's expertise spans motion, animation, live action, gaming, experiential or sound.
Tim's frameworks have become a shared language for studio owners trying to run a creative business without losing the creative part. The core concepts:
Consulting: elite, one-to-one guidance for owners determined to transform their company into a leading studio.
Studio Series™ Accelerators: courses that push a company forward, faster.
RevCommunity™: an owner-only collective of 700+ creative leaders across 60 countries, sharing the real-world playbook behind the industry's most successful studios.
